A 19-year old unemployed man at Winneba has been sentenced by the Winneba District Magistrate's Court for two years imprisonment in hard labour for stealing two nanny goats worth GH¢500.00 and also a Samsung mobile phone worth GH¢200.00.
During court proceedings, the 19-year-old man, Kwame Nyarko pleaded guilty of all charges leading to the presiding judge, Oheneba Kufuo, sentencing him asuch.
Police reports show that the complainant of the case, Samuel Larbi, was returning home after he had gone to watch television at 7 UP Spot around the Old Market Square when he spotted the accused coming out of Aunty Aba's goat pen with a sack hanged on his shoulders
Kwame Nyarko, after sensing the complainant was about to confront him, dropped the sack and its contents and took to his heels. He was later caught and sent to the police for questioning.
