Alfred Agbesi Woyome has said that the former Attorney General Martin Amidu who is currently pursuing the case against him, could possibly be suffering from a number of health problems, which may explain why he has been pursuing the case of the missing GHC 51.2 million from the state.
According to Woyome, 'unseen forces' were using Mr. Amidu "as a weapon against innocent people and people who are doing very well including the President of Ghana who is seeking re-election.”
In a press conference last Friday, Alfred Woyome further said that he believes Martin Amidu is being used against himself, and that he has had to restrain himself from suing the former Attorney General for defamation among other things.
Woyome further alleged that Martin Amidu was sacked from his ministerial position in Mills' government because he attempted to beat President Mills, saying he (Amidu) accused the late president and his ministers of corruption, but was unable to prove the allegations.
