It seems the trend of tribal politics ahead of the December 7 polls is making the Christian council go crazy with anger!
The general secretary of the council, Reverend
, in an interview on Joy News says the council is not just worried about the trend but also are Ghanaians who feel politicians of the NPP and NDC are joking with their tribes.
“If they care to know Ghanaians are not very excited about the tribal card they are playing at the moment and if somebody can put a stop to it, it would be good for all of us,” he fumed.
According to the Christian council, any of the major political parties - NPP or NDC- will find it very difficult ruling the country should the 2016 elections due to the culture of tribalism they are engulfed in.
The concerns follow a fiery commentby President Mahama during his campaign of the Upper West Region. Mahama revealed that plans by his government are in the best interest of the people from the north of the country – Northern, Upper East and Upper West regions – it would be unfortunate to call for a change of government since the NPP does not love Northerners.
