According to relatives, 9-year-old Otis Webster was a bundle of joy but unfortunately the boy died days after he complained he was suffering a cold after he went swimming at a local pool in West Yorkshire.
The dead body of the boy was found by his mom in his bedroom the following evening, after having the day off school.
Beverly Webster performed CPR on her child while waiting for an ambulance, when paramedics arrived they managed to restart his heart before taking him to Leeds General Infirmary and putting him in a medically-induced coma.
Otis’ dad, Andy Lowley, said: “We tried to find hope in anything we could while at hospital, to the point where the medical team had to sit us down and say that due to the amount of time Otis’ brain had been without oxygen, there was no hope.”
According to doctors, Otis´s cause of death was hypoxia, which is a result of a lax of oxygen reaching the brain.
Doctors did not give additional information about what causes the episode that caused the dead of the young boy.
