- A cougar with teeth growing out of his forehead was found in Idaho
- The animal was shot dead by a group of hunters
- It had been hunted legally after it attacked a local dog
A group of hunters were shocked to find that a cougar they had just hunted had teeth growing out of its forehead.
This animal, also known as a mountain lion, had been legally hunted, after a local dog was attacked by it. The hunters, who come from the town of Weston, in Idaho, U.S., determined this cougar was too dangerous, and decided to track him down.
After they retrieved the dead animal, the men encountered the shocking deformity. The conservation officer in charge of examining the body, also found an extra set of whiskers on the cougar’s forehead.
Mountain lions are common in Idaho, but humans rarely see them. It has not been determined as to why this one had the extra set of teeth. Some experts speculate they might have come from an undeveloped twin, or that it could have been a tumor. Biologists claim they have never seen anything similar.
