Nana Addo is most likely to win the 2016 general elections! This is according to predictions by a team of political scientists at the University of Ghana who foresee a first round victory for the NPP.
The team of political scientists say the reasons for a Nana victory is because President Mahama and the NDC are losing their control and lead of key swing constituencies in the country.
“For the National data, the NPP is in the lead with 49.4% of the votes from the swing constituencies.. per our findings, the NPP can win the elections in the first round depending on how well it mobilizes its resources. Even if they don’t win in the first round, they will be in the lead,” Dr Isaac Owusu Mensah at the Legon department of political science revealed in an interview with Citifm.
This revelation follow various criticism against President Mahama over "tribal comments" he made during his last campaigns in the Northern region.
Nana Addo seems to be doing well in the polls both internationally and locally as two polls from the UK-based EIU.
