If you have been waiting for it, it is about to happen.
Daddy Lumba is about to release another campaign song for the New Patriotic Party's presidential candidate, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
It is no surprise that Daddy Lumba, born Charles Kwadwo Fosu, is in the studio recording music for Nana Addo.
Daddy Lumba's pro-NPP songs are staple food for the main opposition party's campaigns. His songs in 2008, remixed for 2012 'Nana ye winner' became an instant hit.
The artist has consistently released campaign songs for Nana Addo with the general public hailing his songs as some of the best campaign song ever produced in Ghana. Whether Lumba would live up to the expectations of NPP supporters and his fans, only time can truly tell, but from the video, it looks to be a promising song.
But this year, Daddy Lumba has partnered with Appietus on his latest song. And Appietus even premiered the preview to the song on his Facebook page. Does that mean the ace beatmaker has joined the long list of celebs endorsing Nana Addo?
As one user commented on Facebook, "songs don't win elections", but they sure do help us gyrate our waists. And if it a song from the legendary "DL", please serve us some more of that!
