The controversial founder and leader of the International God's Way Church has declared that regardless of the number of times he will be invited to the police station he will still keep speaking the truth.

He made this statement at an Accra High Court where a case against him, which he was accused of physically abusing two members of his church during one of his services, was being heard.

"I have not stopped saying the truth… going to the police station on several occasions will not stop me from saying the truth […] I will continue to speak truth until the day Jesus Christ comes for me to Heaven," he said.

Obinim was issued a bench warrant by the High Court when he was absent at the time his case was mentioned and he was arraigned to be in court again on December 16, 2016 along with two other leaders of his church.

A few months ago, a video went viral on the internet showing Bishop Obinim flogging a 'pregnant' young lady along with her supposed boyfriend for engaging in pre-marital sex.
