According to Yaw Boateng Gyan, former National Organiser of the governing party, the National Democratic Congress, the largest opposition party's flag bearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo plans to sell Ghana's resources to defray his numerous debts.
The New Patriotic Party's lead has a grand scheme to go on state property-selling spree to settle huge debts he has incurred over the last eight years since trying to be president, Yaw Gyan alleged.
To back his allegations, Yaw Gyan explained that since the Nana Addo started to campaign for presidency in 2008, he [Nana Addo] has sold all his belongings and his only hope now, is to win this year's elections in order to use Ghana's resources to recoup his losses.
The NDC stalwart was speaking at a mini-rally by the party in Agona Swedru on Thursday, November 24, when he warned the electorate to desist from casting a vote for Nana Addo and the NPP.
He warned that Ghanaians should not make the mistake of voting for the NPP flagbearer.
"After recouping what he has lost in the past eight years,” he said in Akan, “he will bring untold hardship on us all”.
Mr. Boateng Gyan also added that Ghanaians should allow a young person, who would rather visit the elderly for guidance to be president and not the other way around.
