"Muslims must do everything possible to make sure that Mahama wins"

The Chief of Staff, Mr. Julius Debrah has tasked Muslim in Ghana to make sure that the current president of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama is maintained in power come December 7th.

According to a report by KasapaFMOnline.com, Mr. Debrah was speaking at a breakfast meeting with the Muslim clergy and leaders in the Greater Accra region when he made the statement.

Mr Debrah further prayed the Muslim leaders to give president Mahama another four years as the previous Presidents have enjoyed.

He emphasized that the Muslim community must "do everything possible" to make Mahama win the elections as the NDC-led administration has been good to Muslims and will therefore be a mark of honour to re-elect him (president) in the upcoming December 7 elections, to enable him continue with his good works.

Mr. Julius Debrah is on a campaign tour of the region and met the media, clergy, professionals and paid courtesy calls on various chiefs.

The National Chief Imam called for a peaceful election, condoning media reports of violent clashes between the NPP and NDC in some areas ahead of December 7th.
