Tragedy has befallen a health walk held by supporters of the New Patriotic Party at New Juaben South in the Eastern region after at least one person was stabbed.
According to unconfirmed reports, supporters of the largest opposition party, NPP, attacked the victim who was part of the health walk after suspicions arose that the he [victim] was a mole planted by the governing National Democratic Congress.
A report carried by StarrFMonline.com, states that the victim was rushed to the Juaben Municipal Police command for medical forms to be obtained and to report the incident.
This latest reports adds to a string of election-related violent clashes between the NDC and NPP that have marred the campaign buildup to the 2016 General Elections. A similar incident occured last week, where NDC and NPP supporters clashed in Koforidua during a health walk.
Weeks ago in Accra, supporters of the ruling party who were also embarking on a health walk clashed with the security detail of the NPP flagbearer in front of his Nima residence.
