Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, has threatened to lynch polling agents who intend accepting bribes from the NDC on Election Day to foster rigging.
The MP who is contesting on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), made the comment in an exclusive interview with Adom TV’s Alfred Amoh during a keep-fit activity dubbed "Assin For Nana Addo" at Assin Fosu in the Central region.
Ken Agyapong also predicted that the NPP flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo will secure 57 percent of the total votes cast and the party was not ready to allow any individual or group of people to thwart their effort.
He alleged that the NDC plans to bribe polling agents of the NPP with GH¢2000 to allow them change the ballot but urged the NPP representatives to resist the temptation.
“We will cater for our polling agents but if you are caught to have taken monies from the NDC, we will lynch you” he stressed.
The Assin Central MP who has vowed to protect the ballot with his life urged the polling agents to think about their future and that of their family and not allow their future to be altered for the worse.
Ken Agyapong also urged NPP members across the country to be vigilant to ensure their choice is named winner of the polls.
