The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has urged Ben Ephson, a pollster and the editor of the Daily Dispatch, to focus on writing about nutrition instead of doing polls.
It comes after Ephson released a poll that said President John Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will win the December 7 presidential election by 52.4 per cent of the votes.
Ephson's poll had it that Nana Akufo-Addo of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will get 45.9 per cent of the votes.
The NPP has reacted angrily to the poll, describing Ephson as a partisan hack.
The party's deputy communication director, Katakyie Obeng Mensah, told Accra FM on Monday that Ephson would be better served writing about nutrition.
He said: “If he uses his paper to write about nutrition issues, it will serve him better than what he is doing. We want serious pollsters from the University of Ghana and other places, not Ben Ephson. Who is he when it comes to pre-election surveys?"
