EC ready as Special Voting starts today

All is set for the early voting which starts today at all 275 polling stations designated across the country. The Special Voting allows security personnel, EC officials and journalists who will be working on election day [December 7] cast their votes ahead of the main polls.

A little over 114,000 voters are expected to cast their ballot during the special voting.

The special voting will start at 7:00am and end at 5:00pm at designated polling stations across the country.

Meanwhile, the Electoral Commission (EC) says it is also ready for the conduct of the 7 December presidential and parliamentary elections, Director of Elections at the Commission, Samuel Tetteh, has confirmed.

Speaking at a press conference in Accra on Wednesday 30 November, he said all was set for the polls.

He noted that ballot papers, ballot boxes, and all materials needed for a successful poll had been sent to the regions.

The EC has promised to deliver a “world-class” election.
