Kofi Adams is a useless akpeteshie dunkard- Naabu spits

The New Patriotic Party Northern Regional chairman Daniel Bugri Naabu has responded to Kofi Adams comments on the bribery allegations with a scathing attack, describing him (Kofi Adams) as a 'useless drunkard'.

On Tuesday, the New Patriotic Party in a press conference alleged that President Mahama and his brother Ibrahim Mahama tried to coax Mr Bugri Naabu into defecting from the NPP and then defaming Nana Addo in a image-damaging attack.

According to the party, Mr Bugri Naabu was given two SUVs and money payments of about GHC 500,000 and GHC 3.3 million.

Responding to the allegations, Kofi Adams, the National Coordinator for Mahama's campaign in an interview on Citi FM stated that Mr. Naabu's claims of bribery is a cock-and-bull story.

Who in his mind collects money he says it’s bribe; and goes and deposit in his account. He didn’t find any police station to take that money that he considers as a bribe. He didn’t find any person to witness that he took the money and was going round and looking for a Prudential bank that works on Saturday to go and deposit the money. This cock and bull stories should be told to only NPP members and not Ghanaians in generality," Mr Adams said.

However, Mr Naabu finally broke his silence on the matter and took a swipe at Kofi Adams describing him as a useless man who only drank Akpeteshie (Locally-made gin).

He stated, "I heard useless akpeteshie drunkards like Kofi Adams… He can never get money to buy good drink apart from akpeteshie and smoke 10 times in a day…he’s a useless man. He should get away," while speaking to some APC executives at his Tamale residence.
