The Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akomea, has stated that National Democratic Congress will be in a state of shock after Nana Addo's victory has been declared after Dec. 7.
He said that the 2016 elections is focused on the real issues facing the country and not the projects that the NDC are scrambling to fix in order to show off as their achievements to win votes from Ghanaians. He noted that even though some forms of infrastructure were being put in place, the real problems were the high rates of unemployment and the hopelessness plaguing the youth.
"There is no systematic program by government to get this young people jobs and so the over 1,000 graduates coming out of the various universities will be looking for change," he said.
He further noted that the people will be focused on the high cost of school fees, transport fares, petrol and food prices, and how these hardships have affected their life.
"Because the price of everything goes up when the dollar goes up and the dollar has gone up by 250 percent in the last 8 years and it has reflected in the cost of living," he said.
He added that Mahama administration's policies have affected the cost of living of the Ghanaian people and it is with that reality that will impact their vote.
