Mahama declares 3 days of fasting and prayers ahead of Dec. 7

President John Dramani Mahama is declaring a 3 days fasting and prayers across the country as the country heads for the polls on December 7.

A statement signed by the communications minister, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, states that the president wishes to have the event commence on Friday, December 2, 2016 through to Sunday, December 4, 2016.

“It is his belief that through fasting and prayers, supported by appropriate measures and actions on the part of all stakeholders, our dear nation will once again demonstrate to the world that Ghana is not only the beacon of hope for Africa’s Democracy but also the nation ready and willing to continue on the path of progress and prosperity for all,” the statement read.
