After all the accusations, insults and trading of jabs on the campaign trial, the two leading contenders for the presidential elections - President John Mahama and opposition leader, Nana Akufo-Addo finally shake hands during the signing of a peace accord in Accra Thursday.
The Peace Accord will guide the conducts of the candidates racing for the Flagstaff House.
All seven presidential candidates for the December polls pledged peace during and after the elections.
Both President Mahama and Nana Addo committed themselves to ensure peaceful elections, that will result in peace in the country.
President Mahama and Nana Akufo-Addo both entered Parliament in 1996.
