The Black Queens of Ghana won bronze at the ongoing African Women Nations Cup in Cameroun after defeating the Bayana Bayana of South Africa by a goal to nil.
A goal from Linda Eshun in the second half was all that the Black Queens needed to clinch the third spot position in the tournament after failing to reach the finals, falling to hosts Cameroon in the semifinals.
This was Linda's second goal in the tournament as she scored the opener against Mali in the last group game.
However, Sasol-sponsored Banyana Banyana missed many scoring opportunities throughout the tournament and today was no different as they dominated the game but failed to put away any of their chances.
The South Africans tried to get back into the match; it was to no avail as Ghana held on to walk away with the bronze medal.
