VIDEO: Meet the 3-year-old boy that can hold his breath 10m underwater

A three-year-old boy has been videoed holding his breath while swimming underwater.

The boy, Fedor Afonasiev began freediving with his parent from age 2. Now, he can dive down to about 10m.

His mother and father are professional freedivers and his amazing photos and video were recorded in Egypt as they work on their skills.

We can see little Fedor propped on the back of his parents as they swim underwater.

Toddler freediver

He can go as far as 10m underwater.

A friend of the family said, “his parents do not set any goals for him – he just goes down as far as he feels comfortable. For freediving, you don’t need to follow any decompression tables until you get quite deep. You just need to make sure that you have plenty of rest when you’re on the surface until you’ve recovered completely.”

Fedor, who is great at swimming, can stay under water for around a minute.
