In less than 24 hours, Ghanaians will be heading to the polls to decide who leads the country for the next 4 years and one can literally cut through the tension… at least on Twitter.
The microblogging site has been on fire all day from users venting, charging and willing for a either “change” (NPP) or “toaso” (NDC).
This Toaso supporter says the current economic situation is comfortable enough for him to vote to keep the NDC in power.
While many Ghanaians loathe the simple thought of "Dumsor," others apparently like it.
And this man says he still has not gotten a reason why people want to maintain the current government.
However, this twitter user, @kuhefferson, believes that the personalities of both parties will largely determine how Ghana votes tomorrow.
The hashtag #NeverForget has been trending all day, mostly propagated by team “change.”
For instance, Twitter user @NanaSirOsei is on a mission to remind his followers of some of the hardships that befell Ghanaians in the last 4 years under the NDC government.
Another user, @kennedytetteh also joined in reminiscing the not so good times of Ghana.
And so did this user who was particularly annoyed by some of the statements the government made when Ghanaian complained about living conditions at the time.
But after this rant, @seanreezy25 still has the "feeling" that President Mahama will win.
So @niilexis could not also wrap his mind around the fact that Ghanaians have forgotten how hard things were a few months ago.
He warned Ghanaians sitting on the fence not to complain if they did not vote tomorrow.
