With barely 12 hours to the 2012 General Elections, Ghanaians are infuriated over a video being pushed by the Progressive People's Party.
The PPP campaign team shared a video on social media platform, Facebook, of the team members partaking in a mannequin challenge.
The Mannequin Challenge is a viral Internet video trend where people remain frozen in action like mannequins while a video is recorded, usually with the song "Black Beatles" by Rae Sremmurd playing in the background.
Ghanaians are infuriated that the PPP is not investing the time in running a campaign. Most people thought that it was a defeatist behavior on the part of the party.
One user, Fiifi Cudjoe, commented, "Less than two weeks to elections and this is the best thing to do. Ayoo. Continue."
"When we are looking for ways to take out Mahama and his corrupt government..you are here with Mannequin challenge... join the call for change and lets take out Mahama together..Mannequin challenge doesnt take away mahama #voteforchange," an NPP sympathiser commented on the video.
The party's presidential candidate, Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom is running for presidency against incumbent John Mahama and others. Nduom is considered a third force in the electoral process but he wishes to change that this year.
