Five men have been arrested at the Tema Central Constituency of the Greater Accra Region for attempting to steal ballot boxes, it has been reported.
According to a report by the 3news.com, six men stormed the Datus Complex Polling Station and attempted to steal the ballot boxes.
But luck eluded them and the police grabbed five of them.
The TV3 Network reported that the police have mounted an intensive search for the sixth person who escaped.
Meanwhile many Ghanaians who cast their votes have been praising the Electoral Commission for what they say is a smooth process.
Many they voted within a few minutes of reaching the polling stations and the process was free of hassle and intimidation.
Voting is ongoing in the 2016 Presidential and Parliamentary elections, during which a president and 275 Parliamentarians will be elected to govern the country for the next four years.
