Police arrest EC official at Bekwai for electoral fraud

Police officials at Bekwai in the Ashanti region have arrested an electoral officer at the Methodist Primary School polling station following allegations of multiple electoral offences.

Reports from Joy FM reveal that the EC official "was caught giving out two or more ballot papers to electorate perceived to be supporters of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC)."

The EC officer is also noted to have secretly removed unstamped ballot papers to voters.

Meanwhile, the member of parliament for the Bekwai constituency, is alleged to have conspired with the EC officer.

Meanwhile, police officers are currently investigating the development.
