Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West Constituency, Ursula Owusu has taken her destiny into her own hands by setting tent at the coalition centre in her constituency where voting results will be verified before transferring to the Electoral Commission headquarters.
This dramatic move by Mrs. Ursula was necessitated by the suspected cases of over voting in some areas which has led to the delay in the declaration of official results of the elections which took place on the 7th of December 2016.
Photos shared by Facebook user Maame Broni Akua-gyampontema showed the MP getting ready to sleep by some of the ballot boxes in the centre.
She captioned the photos, “Moment Ursula Owusu heard of over voting, she decided to be vigilant by guarding the collation of the presidential votes herself. Her constituents have spoken. Over 37,000 for Nana Addo.”
It definitely looks like the New Patriotic Party is leaving anything to chance and is bent on winning the election.
The party is leading in provisional results so far - winning most of the parliamentary seats across the country - but still need to put up a good fight to win the presidency.
