Gabby Otchere-Darko, the nephew of the New Patriotic Party flagbearer Nana Akufo-Addo has urged all the supporters of the NPP to remain calm in wake of the Electoral Commission's delay in announcing the final results of the 2016 general elections.

Many of the NPP's executvies have expressed confidence in Nana Addo's win in the elections, although the EC has still remained silent about the final results a day after voting had ended.
Earlier on Thursday, some youth supporters gathered at the residence of the NPP flagbearer threatening to march to the premises of the Electoral Commission to demand the release of the results.

Gabby Otchere-Darko in a tweet, advised the NPP supporters to remain calm, saying, "NPP must keep calm. Do not be provoked. No need to hit the streets in anger. He will concede. He must. He shall”
Class FM reported that the group initially charged to head to the EC's premises led by NPP's communications team member Hopeson Adorye, decided against it. They walked the streets surrounding Nana Addo's residence and came back in a jubilant mood.
