Election 2016: Rev Owusu Bempah tells Mahama to concede defeat

Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah, the founder and leader of the Glorious Word Power Ministry, has called on President John Mahama to concede defeat to his rival, Nana Akufo-Addo of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

In an interview with Accra-based Adom FM, Rev. Owusu Bempah said God had given Akufo-Addo victory and that there was nothing Mahama could do about it.

“The good Lord removed John Mahama. I think the NDC guys should calm down. God has done it for the NPP.

“For the sake of peace, he should accept defeat. EC would collate it and we would know. Mahama has lost. If I were the president, I won’t wait for EC to declare. That would even make him get more than enough respect,” he said.

The controversial preacher predicted that Akufo-Addo would win the election.

He even called on members of the public to burn down his church if his prediction failed.
