What went wrong? Samia Nkrumah loses Jomoro seat AGAIN

CPP's Samia Nkrumah has once again failed to recapture the Jomoro seat in the Western Region.

The daughter of Ghana’s first president, Dr Kwame Nkrumah, lost the seat in 2012 on the ticket of the Convention People’s Party. Her attempt of becoming flag bearer of the party was also lost in a heated primaries to Ivor Greenstreet.

Samia polled 9,714 of the total 48,440 votes cast. Mr Amenlamah polled 1,645. Thomas Elleamo Yankey who contested on the ticket of the NDC polled 14, 241.
