President John Dramani Mahama has finally broken his silence after 24 hours of his social media black out.

Mahama has still not conceded defeat to Nana Addo as the EC is yet to announce the election results

On his Twitter page, the president charges all Ghanaians to remain calm and allow the electoral commission (EC) to carry its "constitutional candidate".

Nana Addo on the other hand has retweeted a projection by JoyFM which places him in the lead ahead of the presidential election with close to 54% - a projection which makes Nana Addo the presumed president elect of Ghana.

Eventhough Mahama still has not conceded defeat, his Twitter post tends to suggest that the ruling government is feeling the pinch of Nana Addo's resounding victory in the elections.
