Mzbel breaks silence, says Mahama is still the best man to lead Ghana

Popular Ghanaian songstress and ardent supporter of President John Mahama has finally spoken up after the declaration of Mahama's defeat of Friday evening, and said that she believes Mahama is still the best man to lead Ghana.

The singer who had been actively campaigning for the President, through appearances at rallies, online blasts at anyone who dared oppose her views and a music concert to call on voters for Mahama had initially remained silent after the defeat of the National Democratic Congress's leader.

However, earlier today, the singer finally spoke up about the issue, expressing her profound respect and pride in him as her mentor.

At the beginning of the election 2016 period, Mzbel along with John Dumelo and a host of other celebrities had expressed their staunch support for President Mahama and the NDC.

With appearances at various rallies and through their social media pages, they were bold and relentless in their pursuit of votes for their chosen party.

On Friday, December 9, 2016, the chairperson of the Electoral Commission declared Nana Akufo-Addo the president-elect of Ghana with a 53.4% person over the incumbent President Mahama.
