The national peace council has sent a strong message to all NPP supporters fueling violence across the country.
Describing the act as barbaric, chairman of the council, Reverend Asante in an emergency briefing called on leaders of the party to foster peace among their violent supporters.
Meanwhile, the national youth organiser of the NDC, Sidi Abubakar, warns that the party will "reply in equal measure whenever we are attacked by NPP supporters. A tooth for a tooth, an arm for an arm."
“The attacks on our supporters if it continues and nothing is done by the president-elect, Nana Akufo-Addo, and the NPP leadership...we the NDC youth will not fold our arms while our people are attacked violently. We shall reply in equal measure whenever we are attacked by NPP supporters. A tooth for a tooth, an arm for an arm,” he stated.
So far, president-elect, Nana Addo, has called for calm among NPP supporters stating that all forms of violence will be strongly rejected. President Mahama has also ordered the police to deal with persons caught to be fueling attacks on innocent lives and state property.
