According to media reports, the 2018 African Women Cup of Nations will be hosted by Ghana.
The Ghana Football Association, the governing body of association football in Ghana, confirmed that it had received the mandate from the Confederation of African Football, the administrative and controlling body for African association football, to host the 2018 Africa Women Cup of Nations.

The message was delivered to members of Congress on Monday at the Ghanaman Soccer School of Excellence.
It will be the first time Ghana will be hosting the flagship women's competition on the continent.

The Black Queens of Ghana won bronze at the 2016 African Women Nations Cup in Cameroun after defeating the Bayana Bayana of South Africa by a goal to nil.

A goal from Linda Eshun in the second half was all that the Black Queens needed to clinch the third spot position in the tournament after failing to reach the finals, falling to hosts Cameroon in the semifinals.
