Akua Donkor's GFP congratulates president-elect, Nana Addo; tasks him to fight corruption

The National Executives of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) have congratulated the president-elect, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, on his successful election into the highest office of the land after the December 9th polls.

The GFP executives, in a statement copied to the press and signed by the National Chairman of the party, Kwaku Abankwa, wished the president-elect God’s guidance and wisdom.

The statement also noted that the president-elect's long wait for presidency should have prepared him for the tasks that should come with becoming the first gentleman of the Republic of Ghana.

The executives also called on Nana Addo to fight against the rampant corruption that had become rife in Ghana.

We know for sure as president-elect you are much aware of element such as corruption and bribery which has been the bane of Ghana’s development and thus, humbly remind you to tackle it with all the urgency to give meaning to your vision and promises in bringing the desired prosperity and socio-economic development to Ghanaians”, the statement in part noted.
