One would have thought that the Accra mayor, Alfred Okoe Vanderpuije, will take a long break from the stress and joys of the just ended general elections which saw him win the Ablekuma South seat for the NDC. This is just not the case!
The Accra mayor is continuing with his massive demolition exercise barley a week after the 2016 elections.
Media reports show that the mayor is expected to raze down a building at Adabraka close to the Evangel Assemblies of God Church and the African University College of Communications (AUCC) which has become a threat to public safety.
The giant structure which serves as a warehouse is feared to have become a death trap causing fear and panic among the residence there.
The mayor has ordered residents to vacate their homes prior to the demolishing exercise which will be done on Friday December 16, 2016.
Alfred Okoe Vanderpuije, won the parliamentary seat for the Ablekuma South constituency for the National Democratic Congress (NDC). He raked in 19,984 votes against his rival Jerry Ahmed Shiab from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) who pulled 16, 524 votes.
