Scrutiny of all handing over notes that have been handed over to the incoming New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration will be the first point of call today, Monday, December 19th, 2016, during the transition process meeting.

Following allegations of note doctoring, last minute contract handouts, and wholesale recruitment into security agencies by the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), Deputy Minority Leader in Parliament Dominic Nitiwul, said today's meeting will see the incoming NPP administration get the opportunity to question parts of the handing over notes they find concerning.
Right from the onset, Ghana's government transition process has been plagued with allegations from both sides, putting the prospect of a smooth transition in jeopardy.

“We are going to ask very serious questions. Because at the end of the day you want to know the real state of the ministry before you get there. You don’t want the situation where the new minister will take over and there will a problem, and there are serious problems," said Mr. Yaw Osaafo Maafo, representative of the President Elect, Nana Akufo Addo.
And there are serious questions. Questions on debt, questions on loans, questions on land grabbing...so many questions, but we will get there,” he added.
But according to governement trasition team's spokesperson, Madam Hanna Tetteh, the governement will provide all relevant information the NPP administration will need.
