All elected members of parliament (MPs) are being registered ahead of the new 7th parliament come January 7th.

Both online and manual registration exercise which started on December 19 at Job 600 building in Accra, is expected to end on Friday, December 23, 2016.

Following the registration, they (MPs-elect) will be issued with identification cards that will enable them access the chamber and attend the first sitting of the seventh parliament.

Acting Director of public affairs, Kate Addo, says the exercise is to collate the data for all the MPs-elect for the Parliamentary register.
