Harmattan and Home Alone means Christmas in Ghana

For many Ghanaians this year's Christmas season seems to lack a few things, staple ingredients that help the subconscious mind fully come into the season of cheer.

For some, it's the absence of the dry and dusty northeasterly trade wind which blows from the Sahara Desert locally known as Harmattan.

And for others, it's the absence of Home Alone on GBC, the State Broadcaster's channel.

So with neither Harmattan nor a good marathon airing of MaCaulay Culkin's most popular movie this side of the Atlantic, some Ghanaian's have taken to twitter to vent the frustration.
