When at the 12th week of pregnancy Rachel Gibson started to suffer from severe toxicosis, doctors diagnosed her hyperemesis. This is the rare form of the early toxicosis that causes nausea and vomiting and may lead to dehydration of the organism. Besides, doctors said that even if the woman manages to save the child, he would be born with Down syndrome.
Everyone tried to persuade the woman to stop pregnancy. Despite all doctors’ warnings, Rachel was sure in her decision. She felt with her heart that the child will be healthy, but still was preparing herself and her family for the worst.

Rachel shocked doctors when gave birth to the healthy baby who was named Zane.
"I was worrying greatly when doctors told me that the child would be probably born ill, — says Rachel. — But I never considered abortion as a variant."
The woman who already had two daughters, felt than Zane will be healthy. And still she felt great relief when doctors confirmed this.
"Sometimes, mothers should rely on their feelings more, — says Rachel. — It not my firm faith, I wouldn’t have this wonderful baby now."
