This is because government is beginning an online application process for the acquisition of passports.

Foreign Affairs minister, Hannah Tetteh, has revealed that this new system is aimed at “reducing to the barest minimum the intervention by third parties” in acquiring passports within the shortest possible time.

At a ceremony in Accra to launch the service on Tuesday, Ms Tetteh expressed hope that the system would address the existing difficulties that have bedeviled passport acquisition in the past.
