Sometimes it's hard for us to face reality, especially when it has to do with who or what could rule our country. The 2016 election is one such reality but this time around, we are boldly looking at what Ghana could look like should Konadu Rawlings of the National Democratic Party (NDP) won the elections.
We all know that the former first lady had one major plan and ambition ahead of the elections - driving home the fierce fight against corruption and looting of state funds and property.
In fact, Konadu reveals that her administration will place premium on banishing corruption, strategies to create employment for the teeming youth, as well as raising levels of education, health and human development indexes.
A Konadu presidency could definitely see the establishment of an independent prosecutor to investigate all the teething scandals in Ghana today.
As fierce as she had been under the administration of her husband, Jerry John Rawlings, Ghana could have seen a second but female version of President Rawlings in 2017.
Konadu's administration would have seen an NDP administration with close to NO representative in parliament thus a fiercely NDC-NPP parliament. How dramatic things could have been in Ghana!
Under her leadership, our radio and television would have experienced some shocking change as we could see, for the first time in 24 years, the two opposing NPP and NDC parties agreeing on national issues.
Indeed, 2017 would not just be the beginning of shock in Ghana's politics but also a season of real and unexpected change!
