The transition team of the incoming Akufo-Addo government have expressed grave condemnation over the last minute irreplaceable appointments as well as contracts by President Mahama's administration.
President Mahama recently appointed Joseph Whittal and Josephine Nkrumah as chairpersons of the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice, and National Commission for Civic Education respectively - a move which has incurred the wrath of the party.
Spokesperson for the NPP transition team, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, reveals that the incoming administration will carefully scrutinize all these contracts and appointments which President Mahama failed to draw the NPP's attention to.
“The NPP team finds it most disappointing. The view of the NPP team is that the president elect will reserve the right to review these appointments as and when he assumes office,” he stated.
Mr Oppong Nkrumah said the president-elect would take consideration of all the legal perspectives on the issues.
