Dec 27 and January 2 declared public holidays

Tuesday, December 27 and Monday January 2 have been declared public holidays by Executive Instrument from President John Mahama.

The holidays are to replace the Christmas and New Year's Day holidays which both fall on Sundays.

The Minister of Interior issued a statement on Tuesday, December 20 reminding all about the Christmas Holidays which fall on December 25, Boxing Day December 26, and New Year's Day on January 1.

It was however noted in the statement that, "25th December, 2016 (Christmas Day) and 1st January, 2017 (New Year’s Day) both fall on Sundays, in view of that, His Excellency, the President, has by Executive Instrument (EI) declared Tuesday, 27th December, 2016 and Monday, 2nd January, 2017 as public holidays.”
