The flagbearer for the Convention Peoples Party in the 2016 general elections, Ivor Greenstreet has revealed his openness to work with Nana Akufo Addo and the NPP government, should he be called upon to serve the country.

Mr. Greenstreet made this known in an interview with Ghanaweb where he explained that every government comes in with its vision and set objectives it hopes to achieve within a certain period and a roadmap to achieving those objectives, therefore, if he is called upon to serve in any capacity, he is willing to do so.
The former Presidential aspirant managed to poll 25,395 of the about 10,108,149 votes cast representing 0.24%, putting his party in forth position in terms of votes in the 2016 general election.

Ivor Greenstreet cited examples where other people from different political parties willingly served in the winning party's government.
For instance, founder of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom served the country as Energy Minister during the first term of the Kufuor administration.

Greenstreet added that he believed it was a requirement if called upon to make oneself available to serve.
