The President-elect, Nana Addo Akufo-Addo has said that he wants to be remembered as a leader who created “widespread prosperity” in Ghana.
He promised his government would ensure solutions to the challenges in the Ghanaian economy that have made it impossible for businesses to thrive, as well as jobs to be created.
“We will make sure we succeed and bring about the progress and prosperity of the Ghanaian people,” he told residents of the Northern Region.
The president-elect is currently on his 'Thank you' tour which started in the Northern Region, and is expected to make stops in the regions in Ghana, before he is sworn in as the next president on January 7, 2017.
He recently named Alan Kyeremanteng as the new Trade Minister for the incoming government, and is expected to release his full list of ministerial and departmental appointees before January 7.
