A Thank You post for 5 people who inspired us in 2016

Born Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in Accra, Ghana to Edward and Adeline Akufo-Addo, Ghana's President Elect comes from a prestigious lineage. His father served as Ghana's third Chief Justice (1966 to 1970), Chairman of the Constitutional Commission (1967 to 1968), and non-executive President (1970 to 1972).

His journey to the presidency has been a long and arduous one, having been defeated twice at the polls by an NDC candidate, first in 2008, then subsequently in 2012. Nevertheless, the resounding victory he won in the December 7th 2016 general elections was surefire proof that Ghana's electorate had chosen him to be the fifth President of the Fourth Republic.
