President elect, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo, has paid a visit to burn victims of the La Trade Fair Center in Accra over the weekend .

Thursday's gas explosion resulted in 42 people sustaining different degrees of injuries, and 5 confirmed fatalities. Twenty seven of the casualties were receiving medical attention in the 37 Military Hospital, 3 at the Police Hospital, six at the Korle Bu Teaching hospital, and six at the La General Hospital.

"On Sunday, December 25, together with the Vice President-Elect of the Republic, Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, I visited the victims of last week's La Trade Fair gas explosion incident. I expressed my deepest sympathies to them, and wished them a speedy recovery," Nana Addo revealed.

Nana Addo's visit follows that of President Mahama's. Meanwhile, government says it will foot the hospital bills of all victims as the gas explosion station remains closed by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
