It seems the war against corruption will not be the sole preserve of president-elect Nana Addo's incoming administration as the Western regional house of chiefs has pledged to assist the incoming administration its support in the fight against corruption come January 7.
President of the Western regional house of chiefs, who is also the Chief of the Sefwi Anhwiaso Traditional Area, Ogyeahorhuor Kwaku Gyebi II, reveals their promise follows concerns over how corruption "is destroying our motto, ‘Freedom and Justice’, and tearing the fabric of our nationhood apart.”
Nana Addo has pledged to clamp down on corruption in his administration. Just recently, he warned party members who wanted to loot state funds in his administration to stay off his cabinet.
The fight against corruption by Nana's government has also been brought to the door steps of former attorney general, Martin Amidu as key NPP officials lobby for him to be made special prosecutor.
