-Kenyans of goodwill have come in their numbers to give a 3-year-old girl who is battling cancer, a chance to fight for her life
- So far, Kenyans have raised 5,126,270 for Quin Elsa who is battling Stage 4 Kidney Cancer
Quin Elsa was diagnosed with Kidney cancer stage 4 cancer a while back. She was confined to a public hospital as her parents could not even afford to pay for her treatment.
Since April 2016 when she was diagnosed with cancer, the frail-looking girl has had to undergo chemotherapy and radiotherapy as part of the process's treatment.
During the first campaign in which she received integrated treatment at the Global Healthcare Hospital in India, Kenyans raised KSh3, 318,007 for her treatment.
She responded well to treatment.
Her doctors at the facility however advised that she gets an Autologous Bone Marrow Transplant to rid her system off the cancer cells and prevent chances of a relapse.
The transplant will cost a whooping KSh 1.8 million.
On the morning of Wednesday, December 28, Kenyans achieved the goal of raising the required amount in an initiative that had been started by activist Ndungu Nyoro.
The little fighter as it stands now, will be going for her next doctor's appointment and a chance to keep fighting cancer.
Of course it wouldn't have happened without you, without the initiator, Ndungu Nyoro and the rest of Kenyans who have gone above and beyond to give the girl a chance to live.
