Establishment of Kalyppo Ghana
After an over 40 year fight, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo the Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party won a massive mandate to lead Ghana into 2017 and build the Ghana we all hope to have. If this doesn't give you will to not give up the fight I don't know what will.

Mahama conceding defeat
Even after members of his own party were in a comfortable lead and were cruising to victory, Ex President H.E John Dramani Mahama decided to ignore these statement and call the opposition to concede defeat and congratulate them on their spectacular win. There are times you could fail just dust yourself of and try again.
Ghana at global pageants
2016 was the year of the black star in the world of beauty. First it began with Akua Akuaba wining the Miss Queen Beauty Pageant, then Sylvia Commodore placing 2nd at the Miss Intercontinental Beauty Pageant and just recently Miss Ghana Antoinette Delali Kemavor placed among the top 20 at Miss World. Ghanaians slayed in 2016.
UG being the best in West Africa
The nation's premier university, the University of Ghana was adjudge the best place to get an education in the West African Sub-Region and also the 7th best in the whole of Africa. Such a proud moment for Ghana.
Some people will disagree but they were probably not happy because they were in the opposition but the commissioning of Circle Dubai brought about of pride to Ghanaians. The drone pics of the spectacular interchange seemed to have gone viral causing other African countries to edge their governments to do just as Ghana is doing.
Best place to invest
Yes, the best place to do investment in the West African Region was Ghana according to the World Bank. Move over Nigeria, 2016 is for Ghana.
Smooth and successful elections
The EC and Charlotte Osei did a good job to boost Ghana's democratic credentials by conducting one of the most successful elections to be ever held in Ghana, affirming our position as a beacon of democracy in Ghana
Ghana at the Olympics
OK though Ghana didn't do its best at the Olympics this year, it did groom some young stars like Kaya Forson who we believe will make Ghana proud in the future. We were also among the best dressed teams, so that's some consolation.
Papa Kwesi Nduom's factories and schools
Papa Kwesi Nduom AKA Sub-Zero made us very happy this year by singlehandedly building a rice processing plant to manufacture his own rice and also building a university in the Central Region. Nduom is such a blessing to Ghana.
From the streets to hollywood. Abraham made Ghanaians really happy this year by winning the prestigious Venice International Film Festival’s Marcello Mastroianni Best Young Actor Award, the National Board of Review Award for Best Breakthrough Performance, and the Black Film Critics Rising Star Award. He also picked up two awards at the Ghana Movie Awards, NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actor in a Motion Picture, the Independent Spirit Award for Best Male Lead and the Critics’ Choice Movie Award for Best Young Performer. Not forgetting he has a role in the new spiderman.
Ghana at the Spelling Bee
Miss Afua Ansah had the whole nation behind her when the 14-year-old was one of the 45 finalists for the 2016 Scripps National Spelling Bee and the only Ghanaian finalist so far.
When Rooss Bolton died
OK, so this was definitely one of the best moments of 2016 especially for GOT fans. When that mad dog Roose Bolton met a very gruesome end after tormenting our lives for almost two seasons. I'd never had a good night sleep like that before.
