Kojo Antwi, a household name in Ghana's high-life scene, has stated that he doesn't intend to compromise his brand by making political endorsements.
Speaking to Nhyira Addo in an interview on Joy FM’s Super Morning Show, the celebrated high-life artist said that corporate bodies abstain from making any political endorsements. And since he considered himself a corporate body, he wasn't going to betray his fans by making political endorsements.
“Corporate bodies don’t get involved in political endorsements, I see myself as a corporate body trusted by people to be neutral at all times. Therefore, endorsing a political party for me is a betrayal of my brand and fans.” said the artist.

“I see myself as a brand with a huge following and it’s something that I won’t trade for any endorsement as some practitioners in this industry did before the election.”
During the run-up to the December 7th elections many celebrities, and music artist in particular, chose to publicly endorse one political candidate or another. Although Kojo Antwi does begrudge any of them, he's of the opinion that they should've taken the opportunity to highlight the hardships facing the industry.
